Leaves grow through
Watching them weave into you
A basket of bees
Humming between your knees

Your sky dress blue
And energy flows in you
You rise and you shine
I know that you will be mine
Hang onto your kite

The old year she tends
The moon hare's golden egg ascends
Her barefoot kiss down
Freeing flowers from the ground

The priest disapproves
Of this girl with her cloven hooves
And mothers will pray
That she won't steal their son away
Hang onto your kite

Vapour or vine
Your giggling is wine in shy ways
The turn of the worm
Your breath herds my birds skyways

She comes here each year
Slashing with her sun shield spear
Pierce all the boys
Have them throw away their toys

She wont stay for long
She's sewn the seeds of this year's song
No time to play
Her touch alights for just this Eostre day
Hang onto your kite
