The darkness I entered
In the gloom, I escaped
With lucid lifelines
In crystallized chambers
I cut loose the giant
The beast gave birth
Through flickering aether
The war-poet appeared
I am treasure, I am torment
In the wake of the wanderer
In withered dreams
Dwells the dormant doom
In the grip of winter
I fought my war
They hauled, they hailed
On the blood-red bed
Through bones, through ash
I shivered, I sang
In this sacred gap
I became what I grasped
The quiet quintessence
The static sleep
The strength abides
The frozen river flourishes
I am ice
