Corey Taylor about new Stone Sour album
(gibson.com) Corey Taylor has a busy year ahead of him. In addition to his upcoming solo tour, and 2012 dates with Slipknot in Australia and the U.S., the singer-guitarist said he’s planning to get back in the studio with his other band, Stone Sour.
"Right now we’re just working on demos...and a pretty grandiose idea that I’ve been kind of chewing on for a long time," Taylor told Billboard.com. "On a musical scale, artistically, visually, we’re going to swing for the fences with this one. If we can pull it off, it would be really cool and... put a lot of people in their place. I’m really excited to get working on it."
Taylor said that Stone Sour will begin working on the follow-up to 2010’s Audio Secrecy in between Slipknot’s Australian tour in February and March and a summer trek in North America.
