Eels - Taking pictures song lyrics

Takin' pictures like Man Ray
Earns of ashes in the frame
So which phase is this anyway?
No one loves you in New York
Don't try making a go up north and
No one gets you back in Hollywood

Something useless, make it work
Beautiful trash out on the curb and
Make your plans, But something else will come
Someday at the auction house
How much will your life bring out
From the wallet of the fools?

Is this where you're supposed to be?
Always blind but trying to see, and
Yes, I think this is where I'm supposed to be
