| Lacuna Coil es un grupo de Metal Gotico formado en Milán, Italia en 1994. Antiguamente fueron conocidos como Sleep of Right y Ethereal. La música de Lacuna Coil estaba inspirada en la cultura gótica, usando acordes de guitarra melódicos, alternando vocales pesadas y un poco de influencia pop. De acuerdo con ellos mismos la banda estaba influenciada por grupos como Paradise Lost, Tiamat, Septic Flesh y Type O Negative, Black Sabbath, Sentenced, Depeche Mode, In Flames o Amorphis, entre otros; aunque actualmente han perdido toda relación con este tipo de sonidos.
